SpeedComfort BV cares deeply about your privacy. We therefore only process data that we need for (improving) our services. We carefully handle any information we have collected about you and your use of our services. We never make your data available to third parties for commercial purposes.
This privacy policy applies to the use of the website and the services provided by SpeedComfort BV. The starting date for the validity of these conditions is 7 May 2021, while the validity of all previous versions expires upon publication of a new version. This privacy policy describes what information we collect about you, what this information is used for, and with whom and under what conditions this information may be shared with third parties. E-commerce Software
Shopify
Our online store is developed using Shopify software. Personal data that you provide to us for the purpose of delivering our services is shared with Shopify. Shopify has access to your data in order to provide us with (technical) support, but they will never use your data for other purposes. Based on the agreement we have with Shopify, Shopify is required to implement appropriate security measures. These measures include the use of SSL encryption and a strict password policy. Shopify uses cookies to collect technical information about the usage of their software, but no personal data is collected or stored. Shopify reserves the right to share collected data within their own organization to further improve their services.
Webhosting
OWOW
Our website is hosted by OWOW. OWOW processes personal data on our behalf and uses this data solely to provide hosting services. They do not have access to your data for purposes other than maintaining and securing the website.
OWOW has implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent the loss and unauthorized access to your personal data. Email and Mailing Lists
4Consult
We use 4Consult for our email services. 4Consult processes personal data that is necessary for sending and receiving emails on our behalf. They use your data solely for the provision of these email services and are not authorized to process your data for any other purposes.
4Consult has implemented the necessary technical and organizational measures to ensure the security of your personal data. These measures are designed to prevent loss, unauthorized access, or misuse of your data. Additionally, under our agreement, 4Consult is obligated to respect and safeguard the confidentiality of your data.
ActiveCampaign
We send our email newsletters via ActiveCampaign. ActiveCampaign will never use your name and email address for their own purposes. At the bottom of every newsletter you receive from our website, you will find an 'unsubscribe' link. If you choose to unsubscribe, you will no longer receive newsletters.
Your personal data is securely stored by ActiveCampaign. In addition, ActiveCampaign uses cookies and other internet technologies to track whether emails are opened and read. ActiveCampaign reserves the right to use this data to improve its services and may share information with third parties for this purpose.
Payment processors
Shopify Pay
For processing payments in our online store, we use Shopify Pay. Shopify Pay processes your name, address, city, and payment details, such as your bank account or credit card number. Shopify Pay has implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data.
Shopify Pay reserves the right to use data to improve their services and may share (anonymized) data with third parties for this purpose. All of the aforementioned safeguards regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to parts of Shopify Pay’s services where third parties are involved. Shopify Pay does not retain your data longer than permitted by legal requirements.
Reviews
Feedback Company
We collect reviews through the platform of Feedback Company. When you leave a review via Feedback Company, you are required to provide your name, city, and email address. Feedback Company shares this information with us so that we can link the review to your order. Feedback Company also publishes your name and city on its own website. In some cases, Feedback Company may contact you to clarify your review.
If we invite you to leave a review, we share your name, email address, and order information with Feedback Company. They use this information solely for the purpose of inviting you to leave a review. Feedback Company has implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. Feedback Company reserves the right to engage third parties to provide their services, and we have given Feedback Company permission for this. Retention Periods
We retain your data as long as you are a client of ours. This means that we will keep your customer profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. However, due to applicable administrative obligations, we are required to retain invoices containing your (personal) data for the duration of the applicable retention period. Employees will no longer have access to your customer profile or documents created in relation to your order after this period.

Below, we explain what these rights are and how you can exercise them. As a rule, to prevent misuse, we will send copies and transcripts of your data only to the email address already known to us. We maintain a record of processed requests, and in the case of a request to be forgotten, we log anonymized data. All copies and transcripts of your data will be provided in a machine-readable format that we use within our systems. You have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at any time if you suspect we are misusing your personal data.

You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send a copy of all relevant data to your email address on file, along with an overview of the processors who handle this data, specifying the categories under which we have stored this information.

You can submit such a request to our contact person for privacy matters. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send a confirmation to your email address on file, notifying you that the data has been corrected.

It is likely that we will no longer be able to continue providing our services, as the secure connection of data files can no longer be guaranteed.
