SpeedComfort B.V. places great importance on your privacy. In this privacy policy, we explain which personal data we collect, why we use this data, which parties we share it with, how long we retain it, and what rights you have.

If you have any questions about privacy or the processing of your personal data, you can contact us via the email address above.
2. What personal data do we process?
When you visit our website, place an order, contact us, or subscribe to our newsletter, we process the following personal data:
name and contact details;
billing and delivery address;
email address and telephone number;
order and payment details;
information about returns, warranties, and customer service;
IP address, browser, device, and technical data;
information about your use of our website;
information about your interaction with our emails and marketing communications;
other information that you provide to us yourself.
We only collect personal data that is necessary for the purposes described below.
3. What do we use your personal data for?
We may use your personal data for:
processing and delivering orders;
handling payments, returns, and warranties;
answering questions and providing customer service;
managing and securing our website and online store;
preventing fraud and misuse;
improving our website, products, and services;
carrying out analyses and compiling statistics;
sending and personalising marketing communications, where permitted;
profiling for segmentation and personalised communication (see section 9);
complying with legal obligations.
Depending on the purpose, we process your data on the basis of the performance of a contract, a legal obligation, our legitimate interests, or your consent.
4. Shopify
Our online store runs on Shopify. Shopify processes personal data necessary to operate our online store and to enable orders and other services through the online store, including contact details, order and payment details, IP addresses, and information about your device and use of our online store.
Shopify Network Intelligence. We use Shopify Network Intelligence. This means that data about your use of our online store is combined with data from other stores that also use Shopify. Shopify uses this combined data for purposes including:
fraud detection and prevention across multiple stores;
improving Shopify's own services;
personalising your shopping experience;
analytics;
advertising targeting.
This means that data about your behaviour with us may also be used in a broader context than just our own online store.
You can limit the use of your data for these purposes by not consenting to marketing and analytics cookies in our cookie banner, or by enabling a Global Privacy Control signal in your browser, where supported.
Shopify may process personal data outside the European Economic Area (EEA). When personal data is transferred internationally, appropriate safeguards are applied in accordance with applicable privacy laws (see also section 12).
More information can be found in Shopify's consumer privacy policy.
5. Klaviyo
We use Klaviyo for our email marketing and marketing automation.
When you subscribe to our newsletter or otherwise consent to marketing, we process your name, email address, and information about your interaction with our website and emails.
We use this information to:
send newsletters and offers;
measure whether emails are opened and links are clicked;
make our communications more relevant;
create audiences and segments (profiling, see section 9);
send automated emails, for example in response to activities in our online store.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time via the unsubscribe link at the bottom of our emails.
Klaviyo may process personal data outside the EEA. Appropriate safeguards are used for international transfers of personal data as required under applicable privacy laws (see section 12).
6. Payments
We use PAY to process payments. For this purpose, personal data necessary to complete the payment is processed, such as your name, payment details, and order information.
PAY may also process this data where necessary, for example for fraud prevention or to comply with legal obligations.
7. Reviews
We use Trusted Shops to collect customer reviews.
When you are invited to leave a review, we share information about you and your order with Trusted Shops for this purpose. If you submit a review yourself, Trusted Shops processes the personal data you provide when doing so.
8. Email and customer service
When you contact us, we process the data necessary to answer your question and manage our communication with you.
We use 4Consult for our business email services.
9. Cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies, pixels, and similar technologies. Some of these are necessary for the operation of our online store. Others are used for analytics, personalisation, and marketing.
For these purposes, we use services provided by Shopify, Google, Meta, and Klaviyo. These technologies enable us to:
analyse the use of our website;
measure which pages and products are viewed;
improve the operation of our online store;
measure the effectiveness of advertisements and campaigns;
make advertisements and communications more relevant;
categorise visitors and customers into audiences based on their behaviour and interests (profiling);
link website behaviour to marketing communications.
Profiling. The audience and segment categorisation described above is a form of profiling: we use automated processing of your data to assess your likely interests and preferences. This does not result in automated decision-making that has legal effects on you or similarly significantly affects you — for example, a contract will not be refused and prices will not be individually determined based on this profile.
Where consent is required, we only use these technologies after you have given your consent via our cookie banner. You can change your preferences at a later time.
More information about the specific cookies, pixels, and other technologies we use, the parties involved, and the retention periods can be found in our cookie policy.
10. Who do we share personal data with?
We only share personal data where this is necessary to provide our services, where we have a valid legal basis for doing so, or where we are legally required to do so.
We share data with parties involved in:
hosting and e-commerce (Shopify);
payments (PAY);
shipping and delivery;
email and marketing (Klaviyo, 4Consult);
analytics (Google, Meta);
reviews (Trusted Shops);
IT and technical support;
administration and accounting.
We make arrangements regarding the protection and security of this data with parties that process personal data on our behalf, including through data processing agreements.
We do not sell your personal data.
11. Retention periods
We do not retain personal data for longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, unless we are legally required to retain data for a longer period.
The retention period varies depending on the type of data. For example, certain administrative and tax-related data must be retained for the statutory retention period.
We retain data for marketing purposes for as long as there is a valid legal basis for doing so or until you unsubscribe, unless we need to retain certain data for longer, for example to ensure that your unsubscribe request is respected.
12. International transfers
Some of the service providers we use are located outside the EEA or process data outside the EEA, including Shopify, Klaviyo, Google, and Meta.
When personal data is transferred to a country for which no adequacy decision applies, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, for example by using Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
13. Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, and other unlawful processing.
14. Your privacy rights
Depending on the circumstances, you have the right to:
access your personal data;
have inaccurate personal data corrected;
have personal data deleted;
have the processing of your personal data restricted;
object to certain processing activities, including profiling for marketing purposes;
have your personal data transferred;
